Our Stress Skin Panels have been used for over
25 years by the Timber Frame Industry. Stress Skin Panels are constructed in the same
manner as Integrated Structural Insulation Panels without the structural
lumber, as the Frame itself provides the structure. Stress Skin Panels attach with
mechanical fasteners to the frame and provide sheer strength for the
structure.
We offer different methods for joining the Stress Skin Panels.
The most common is the 2x spline located 48” on center. On the roof panels we use
a double OSB spline with a foam keyway to prevent air transfer through
the joint.
Typical wall thicknesses are 4" and 6" with 8" or 10" panels
on the roof.
The interior can be sheathed with your choice of drywall or OSB.
